About The Travel DPT

My name is Mason Baker and I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and full-time travel physical therapist since 2021. I have had the privilege of working across the country in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Indiana, South Carolina, and North Carolina in both acute care and outpatient settings. Additionally, I have experience in inpatient rehabilitation, which has further broadened my clinical expertise. So far, I’ve explored 32 out of 50 states, and the journey is far from over.
This past year, I finally convinced my fiancée, who is also a physical therapist, to join me in the travel life. Now we get to share the adventure together while working side by side in new cities, exploring different parts of the country, and making memories on and off the job.
Travel therapy has allowed me to grow as a clinician, work with various staffing agencies, and achieve the milestone of paying off my student debt. These experiences inspired me to create The Travel DPT, where I share insights and connect physical therapists with trusted recruiters and companies that align with their goals.
When I’m not in the clinic or working out at the gym, I’m usually out exploring a new city, learning more about personal finance, finding great local food, or catching a sporting event
Thanks for visiting! Whether you’re just starting out or already on the road, our goal with The Travel DPT is to give you the tools, encouragement, and community to make the most of your travel therapy journey. Happy traveling!
How We're Different
We’re not recruiters, we’re current travel physical therapists who actively work in the field, so we provide the most up-to-date information for travel PTs. Everything on The Travel DPT comes from real, first-hand experience, giving insights that matter to PTs looking for reliable travel PT jobs.
Unlike other platforms, we focus exclusively on travel physical therapy, not occupational therapy or speech therapy, so every resource, job listing, and recommendation is designed specifically for PTs seeking travel physical therapy opportunities.
